The Hogan, by Stephanie

This stamp commemorates the Southwest Indians. The Hogans were dome/bowl shaped. They were made of heavy wooden frame work. The Hogans were covered with a thick layer of earth. The doorway of each Hogan opened to the east so Navahos could welcome the morning sun and receive good blessings. But personally I think that the Navaho Hogan is the coolest Indian house.
