  • The Scarlett Letter. Film. 135 minutes. Be careful with this one. Remember that the author of the the book was doing a number on his Puritan ancestors, and Hollywood sexes it up and sprinkles in a little violence. Given this, it still gives you a flavor of the Puritan culture. Just make certain you apply your knowledge of that culture to it.
