My name is Zehra Thakkar, and I'm a freshman at the University of Maryland, College Park. I'm the Vice Chair for the UMD Sustainability Review Fund Committee and I have researched micro plastic pollutions at UMD's Poulin Lab. I am incredibly excited to begin my journey at UMD, and to have these opportunities to fight for environmental health through research and activism.
