Topics:

This course is intended to provide the student with the fundamentals of computer aided manufacturing. Special attention will be given to the inherent relationship between computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing, and the on-going research projects at A. James Clark School of Engineering. The course will be taught using a project-based learning approach. Learning bands-on experience is emphasized. Students will be organized as teams, not only for participating in laboratory work, but also completing assigned projects. Outside speakers from industry and research institutions will be invited to present the leading edge research and development activities.
