Engineering Analysis II: Finite Element Analysis Using ANSYS

A friction wheel press is shown below. When the right and left wheels turn, the central shaft move up and down depends on the direction of rotation. As you can see, the central shift is a critical component in terms of the allowable working load.

1. Using Pro/ENGINEER to construct the central shaft component.
2. Use FEM to generate the mesh and establish the loading and boundary conditions.
3. Use ANSYS to perform stress and strain analyses.
