The group needs to be familiar with the current high speed machining operation and understand the design specifications for the sensing device. The student team is asked to do a research on the possible ways to measure force during high speed machining. The group is asked to design and fabricate the sensing device. Finally, the sensing device has to be calibrated and the force signals should be collected by using the data acquisition system available in the lab.
