ENME 414 Computer Aided Design
Homework Assignment 7 - Gaining More Practice on Assembly Drawings
Due 9:30 am, Tuesday, October 22, 1996

Statement: CAD systems, like Pro/ENGINEER, require designers be cautius about
making an assembly drawings, even before the part design process begins. If Assembly
mode is used in the first place, all the parts are created under the Assembly mode so that
design intent of each part can be captured from other parts in the assembly. If the part is
removed from the assembly, how does this affect other components in the assembly that
were assembed after it? You need practice. Without the knowledge of assembly
drawings, the team project would not be able to complete.

Assignments: Given the dimensions of all the parts to make up a pressure-cell piston
system, make an assembly drawing to show all parts in their operational positions.
