I like Beethoven. I like his string music. This is a photo of
the four string instruments Bethoven used to own. They are displayed
in a museum called the Beethoven-Haus located at Beethoven's
birthplace in Bonn.

You are not allowed to photograph any of the items in this museum,
but you can purchase postcards carrying this photo. I visited
the Beethoven-Haus in July of 1996, and I purchased 30 copies of
the card. I carry one of them whenever I make a trip, and give
it to a fellow Beethoven lover I meet.
In June of 2001, I met Irina Bachkova, professor at Moscow Conservatory. She was born in Kazan and was visiting there. I was also there. Prof. Bachkokova played Beethoven's violin sonata No. 5, known as the Spring Sonata. She played exactly in the way I liked, and I gave her the postcard with my autograph.
It is always a pleasure for me to communicate with people by means of art, literature, music, as well as scientific endeavors.
