Mr. Patterson regularly provides consultation and training for the development of accessibility services and facilities for performing and visual arts venues, museums and historical sites, and films and videos. He also offers on-site training for audio describers who will provide descriptions of visual essentials for visitors to performing and visual arts venues, museums and historical sites, and viewers of films and video.Mr. Patterson has extensive experience as writer-narrator of audio description tours of museums and historical sites as well as films and videos. Previous projects include the Ellis Island Immigration Museum, the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center, description soundtracks for Public Broadcasting Service/American Playhouse productions as part of the nationally broadcast pilot test of Descriptive Video, and numerous films and videos for the National Park Service and other government agencies. His most notable audio description soundtrack is for award-winning documentary Black Friday: The Johnstown Flood of 1889.
