Diffusion of an Innovation: Digital Reference Service in Carnegie Foundation Masters (Comprehensive) Institution Libraries

            This analysis of academic digital reference services (DRS) in institutions offering undergraduate and master's degree education within the framework of diffusion of innovation theory focuses on the extent and rate of diffusion, the characteristics of libraries in each adopter category, and the re-invention of the innovation during implementation.
