Specifications for Autobiographical Stamp
Objective: Create a Commemorative stamp to honor you
- Each stamp must have a graphic that relates to You.
- The price of the stamp must be included in clear lettering.
- The words "United States of America" or "USA" must also be included.
- Your initials must be hidden somewhere on the stamp.
- Other words are not required. If you do use other words, limit them to 6 or less.
- You must attach a five to six sentence paragraph that tells about your stamp. The paragraph must be typed into a word processor, proofread, printed on a laser printer for your final copy.
- Each stamp must also include perforations like real stamps
Procedure:
- Be creative and use your imagination.
- Decide on the shape you wish to work in.
- You will first make a rough draft.
- Then you will transfer that idea to final copy paper using colored pencils, crayons or colored chalk.
- Your written paragraph will also have rough drafts, checked by teachers and students.
Your stamp will graded on:
- Neat lettering
- Decide on the shape you wish to work in.
- Relationship of idea to stamp
- Inclusion of all requirements.
- Following directions
- Language mechanics / spelling/ style of paragraph
