Introduction

M. C. Escher was a Dutch artist who lived from 1898 - 1971. Many of his drawings were tessellations. Instead of using the usual polygons, like triangles and squares to tessellate, he liked to create pictures of horses, fish, salamanders, and birds that he could tessellate.
