Antelope or Chof, Kachina Doll, by Peter C.

This stamp commemorates a kachina doll named Antelope or Chof. The Hopi Indians from the Southwest made the doll. In addition, they made many other kinds of kachina dolls. The Hopi Indians made the dolls out of wood. After they finished, they would give the dolls to young Hopi girls during kachina ceremonies.
