Brief Overview of Circle Story Project
by Bonnie Louden
Using a published children's book IF YOU GIVE A MOUSE A COOKIE by Laura Joffe Numeroff
as a spring board for children to write their own stories, The story was read to the
class. Together we noted how the beginning was also the ending and the story was a
series of sequential events. The children were instructed to choose a character,
list at least 5 events that could happen to their character and end their story the
same way they began it. Once their story was typed, edited and printed, they were
then ready to illustrate their story.
