My main purpose as a scholar in Science and Global change is learn about science and our earth, in order to expand my knowledge beyond my major. As an electrical engineer I am hoping to gain a general knowlege of science (beyond what is necessary for my major) in order to become a more well rounded student and know more about the world I live it. As an electrical engineering student I hope to gain enough general knowlege to be able to go further into really complex engineering problems. Lots of high level technical disciplines and topics interest me, but few have writings that are basic enough for me to understand with my current knowlege. So, at the end of my four years I hope to know enough in the field of physics, math, and circuitry to be able to pursue these advanced topics (whether as a graduate student, on my own, or at a job).
