Pylon about the world 24-16 million years ago.
The reason for this field trip was to learn about how the Earth has changed over time in different aspects, from evolutionary changes to human activites that have created an impact. We had the opportunity to go around different sections of the museum and learn about different evolutionary times in history. The pylon for example, shows how the environment was a long time ago, specifically 24-16 million years ago. It specifically describes the climates in those areas as it says how the Arctic, Antarctic, and Tibetan Plateu were, as well as talking about where the grasslands were. It also talks about how the levles of carbon dioxide, average global temperature, and the global sea levels were all higher back then than it is today.
