Hello! I am Radu Teodorescu, a second year Aerospace Engineering student at UMD. I chose aerospace engineering as my major because growing up near Ronald Reagan National Airport and frequently watching aircraft fly by, I developed a love for flying and aviation. In order to continue this passion I became more involved in STEM as the years progressed. As a result, my combined love for STEM and aviation drove me to pursue aerospace engineering. I joined the scholars program because I enjoyed completing various service opportunities around my neighborhood and saw the positive impacts they had. As a result, I wanted to continue this in college. Some of my hobbies include skiing, mountain hiking, launching home built model rockets and flying on a flight simulator.
