I was born in Massachusetts and moved to Bangalore, India when I was nine years old. In 2018, I moved to San Ramon, California for my junior year and have been living here ever since. Having moved around a lot, I've been exposed to several cultures and perspectives that have influenced me greatly. Through the scholars program, I want to learn about issues beyond my classwork and explore the implications of global change. I also want to make strong connections and take upon opportunities out of my comfort zone. I hope to broaden my knowledge in the scientific field and to begin thinking like a scientist. My intended major is computer science and I'm really excited for the University of Maryland's computer program. Currently, I am at home and attending college online. As this isn't my ideal situation, I hope to move to campus next semester, if things get better.
