As one of my required excursion trips of the semester, I decided to sign-up for a trip to the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center. The first activity that we did was sample various water life species and classify them in four categories: hoppers, swimmers, sitters, and fliers. But to actually classify them, we had to capture them. So, I got the opportunity to fish, which required us to actually go into the waters which was thrilling!
In my second semester a part of SGC, I had the opportunity to visit the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC. It was an incredible trip as I got to explore various air and spacecrafts, like the command module Columbia, and planetary objects like the terrestrial planets we know: Mercury, Venus, and Mars! Throughout my trip, I was also answering questions provided by my instructor while made the trip all the more thrilling and informative!
