With a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from VIT University, India, I'm currently pursuing my Master's degree in Human Computer Interaction at Univeristy of Maryland, College Park.
I'm a graduate research assistant at the NetCHI Lab which is part of the Human Computer Interaction Lab at University of Maryland. I'm interested and focused towards designing systems that align with conventional human thinking. By design I mean not just how it looks but even how it works. I believe its important for designers to take complete ownership of their product, starting from understanding the necessity of a system, being cognizatant of human cognition and developing around those factors. In my perspective, HCI can be leveraged by viewing it as an engineering domain. My research interests include personalization engines, user experience and design frameworks such as Design Thinking and Behavior Design.
Throughout my journey, I've enjoyed working on large scale challenging problems for they act as forcing functions and in my perspective bring out the best in an individual.
