The only story here is that Greenspan is being fairly consistant; whereas this administration is not. Well they are in their own way: tax cuts and regressive tax schemes for all and all potential situations. How Greenspan viewed the current tax cut proposal - also seems to have come as no real surprise to anyone. The W. Post had an editorial in Mondays paper outlining this. Interesting quote the SF Chronicle pulls out from G. Bush Sr. "If the interest rates had been lowered more dramatically, . . . I would have been re-elected," he told interviewer David Frost in 1998. "I reappointed him, and he disappointed me." Now thats an independant Federal Reserve pb
