College Park Scholars-Science and Global Change
The #IfThenSheCan exhibit featured life-sized versions of the leading women in STEM. In this picture, I am next to Dr. Beata Mierzwa, a molecular biologist who studies cell division in cancer cells.

Hello my name is Niyant Ganesh. I am currently a student in the University of Maryland Science and Global Change program. I am a general biology major on the pre-dental path as I hope to become a pediatric dentist in the future. My goals for this program are to grow as a student through interaction with my peers and to gain knowledge that will help me in the future as a student and in the real world. My goals for UMD are to push myself academically through rigorous biology courses so I can gain more knowledge in the field of biology before I go to dental school. However, to pass these courses, I also want to develop study habits that I can apply to my classes and any future tests I take. Overall, I hope to grow as a person and learn from all of my experiences at UMD in the SGC scholars program
