I am a freshman at the University of Maryland and a member of the Science and Global Change Program. I have always been passionate about the environment. As climate change continues to grow as a problem, I hope to be a part of future research towards combatting this problem. Along with this, I am also very passionate about helping others. In particular, I try to see if there is a way that I can help others through STEM. One way I did this was by tutoring. During high school, I tutored in STEM subjects. In the future, I hope to find ways to continue helping others through my career path and experiences.

Extracurricular Experiences:

  • President of the Science National Honors Society during Highschool (also tutored students)
  • Math Honors Society: Tutored students in math subjects
  • Biology Review Club:Secretary, Tutored students in biology and also matched students with tutors
  • Played field hockey for my highschool team (junior varsity and varsity) for all four years
  • Participated in Food and Drug Administration Oncology Center of Excellence Summer Scholars Program (led a group research project)
  • Learned cultural music as well as piano since third grade

During my freetime, I like to work with my hands, such as crocheting, crafting, or even building a mini-project. I also love to listen to music and sing.
