Title of Project: Information Overload and Fatigue: How Modern Media Exposure Contributes to Societal Apathy and Declining Moral Outrage

This project is about Societal Apathy and Declining Moral Outrage. Their central question was: If we see upsetting or intense content all the time, do we start to become numb to it? Carlos looked at real-case studies and events and analyzed statistics and surveys and how media affects mental health and behavior. This project argues that too much exposure to intense media can actually reduce how strongly we react, which might make society less responsive to important issues over time. This project required more research compared to physically creating a survey which made it a lot easier and accessible to a various data. However they only relied on this and made it harder to prove cause and effect.

Title of Project: Perinatal Care Practices: Observations from Labor and Delivery and Neonatal Intensive Care.

Class:CPSP359G

Emmalynn observed specialized care in both the Labor and Delivery unit and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Virtua Voorhees Hospital. Ultimately, it reflects on the intersection of maternal health and intensive infant care, highlighting the clinical skills and professional insights gained during the experience. A major benefit was the real life exposure Emmalynn got to have, which was super educational and informative. However she stated that it had a lot of emotional intensity and was a lot to experience at the time.

By transforming raw source data into organized Excel Pivot Tables with automatic field detection, this project provided the marketing team with streamlined method for data analysis. A benefit of this was a strengthening of their technical skills, specifically in Python. However, an obstacle the student faced was locked down company devices which made it difficult for them to write and edit their code.

Title: Campus Antisemitism after October 7: How Jewish students experiences are impacted

This project examines how rising antisemitism has affected Jewish college students safety and mental health. Andrew used surveys and academic studies to track how students now navigate their campus and express their identity. The results show a mix of increased fear for some and a stronger connection to their community for others.
