Math 246 Tutoring, Fall 2000
Some free drop-in tutoring services appropriate for Math 246 students
are listed below. I would welcome any feedback about your experiences
with any of them. If you run across another that you like, please
suggest that it be added to this list.
- Math Tutoring Room
- Mondays - Fridays, 8:00am - 4:50pm in MTH 0301
This tutoring room is run by the Department of Mathematics and
is located in the basement of the Mathematics Building. Tutors
are now scheduled for most hours, but not all. Please check the
tutoring schedule posted at
http://www.math.umd.edu/undergrad/tutoring.html to see when
tutors are actually scheduled to be there. This schedule is
subject to change. Tutors are graduate students, and may
therefore be your best source of help outside of office hours.
This service begins Wednesday, 6 September, and ends on the last
day of classes.
- Matlab Tutoring for Math 240 and Math 246
- Mondays. 4:00pm - 6:30pm in PG2 WAM LAB
- Wednesdays. 4:00pm - 6:30pm in PG2 WAM LAB
- Fridays, 11:00am - 1:50pm in MTH 0203
This tutoring service is run by the Department of Mathematics.

investing in a private tutor, you might see me first for some advice.
- The Office of Academic Achievement Programs
offers tutorial services to all eligible UMCP students for most
100 and 200 level courses. Students will be tutored by highly
skilled, selectively chosen graduate and undergraduate students.
To request tutoring, go to Room 0112 Chemistry Building. You
will be assigned a tutor at that time, or shortly thereafter.
It is advisable to submit requests for tutoring early in the
semester.
