Hi! My name is Lauren and I'm a first year student at UMD. I'm intending to major in Psychology and currently studying to join the healthcare workforce in the near future.
Since my youth, I took interest in cognitive and behavioral functions. As I progressed in my education, I conducted several research projects regarding psychological phenomena and disorders, focusing on children in foster care, and gained valuable experience interning at a non-profit foster care organization. Here at UMD, I aim to further my inquiry and research which I can later apply professionally. Outside of my education, I enjoy spending time with friends, playing with my band, and I never forget to do the daily crossword. I love this university for its vast amount of opportunities and overall environment, and am excited to continue my education here!
