In the wake at Brownie Beach.

I went on the Brownie Beach Field Trip, where we basically went on a fossil hunt. Specifically, we were looking for fossilized shark teeth that erosion knocks out of the nearby cliff face. That carbonate cliff was formed millions of years ago when the sea level was higher and consists of tons of dead organisms, including sharks that were native in that era. Naturally, there must be some fossils(and teeth) in there somewhere.

One completely intact fish vetebra.

My favorite find was not any of my shark teeth, however. Very early on, I found a very cool looking fish vertebra, which was among the biggest of fossils found by anyone that day. Unfortunately, I do not think I have any hope of identifying the creature it comes from, as fish vertebrae are notoriously nondescript. Nonetheless, in terms of souvenirs, I could not be happier with my luck.
