Introduction and Statement of Purpose:
My name is Khuong Nguyen. I am an undergraduate student studying electrical engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park. I was born in Can Tho, Vietnam and immigrated to the United States when I was 4 in 2009. My academic goals are to graduate with a bachelor’s in electrical engineering and a master’s in software engineering. I also hope to make lifelong friendships and relationships during my time at university and to have lots of fun. Being a part of science and global change, I want to pursue a career where I could use my engineering to help prevent global warming and pollution. I hope to learn about electricity and coding to somehow incorporate that into a solution to help prevent or reverse climate change and the different environmental issues we learn about in College Park Scholars.
