Hi! I'm Kathleen, a junior studying Bioengineering at the University of Maryland, College Park. This website provides a small glimpse into my experiences at the University of Maryland!
Beyond participating and now TAing for the College Park Scholars program "Science and Global Change", I am also a member of Women in Engineering at the Clark School of Engineering at UMD, the Society of Women in Engineering (SWE), and Global Fellows: Science Diplomacy. After my first year here at UMD, I had discovered my interest in engineering ethics leading to my decision to declare a minor in Global Engineering Leadership! Similarly during my sophomore year, I decided to also pursue a minor in entomolgy to finally fulfill my interest in animal science and genetics. Outside of my academics, I enjoy grabbing meals with new and old friends alike, late night hangouts and study sessions in McKeldin Library, and watching UMD's soccer (including intermural) and ice hockey games! I am also an avid enjoyer of the UMD's public transportation services, so I'll be around on routes 104 and 105!
