A photo of the Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens.
Scholars Service Day on August 26, 2022. Scholars students worked together to do various acts of volunteer service in order to help those in need of it. My program, Science and Global Change, went to the Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens to help pull weeds out from the water as the park wanted to replant lilies. We used rakes and our hands to pull them out and we wore waders to go deeper into the water. We also dug up dirt and piled it onto the pathways around the garden. Some areas were loose and started to sink into the water so we packed dirt to make solid pathways for visitors to walk on.

Metro Scavenger Hunt on September 11, 2022. As a group, we were required to go ride the metro to DC and take photos of various objects and locations. We decided to go to the National Museum of Natural History, the National Museum of American History, and the National Gallery of Art. The trip was a lot of fun and we got to see many interesting displays, as well as get more familiar with the metro system.
