Hello! My name is Justin Dasuki and I am from North Potomac, Maryland! I am a sophomore in the Science and Global Change scholars program here at the University of Maryland double majoring in finance and information systems. Although my major is not in the realm of the science world, I am interested in learning about our forever-changing Earth and the effects it has on the environment and humans. One of favorite hobbies is snowboarding so global warming and climate change have been an increasing concern to me as the hotter temperatures effect the length and ability for me to snowboard in the winter time.
Besides my interest in this particular sector of science, I chose to become a business major because I knew the University of Maryland had a renowned business program and the valuation and importance of money fascinates me. I plan on double majoring finance with information systems since in our evolving, technological world, I find it increasingly necessary to have some sort of technological knowledge and am excited to learn about it in a business perspective. Here at Maryland, I have adjusted quite well to my new college life. I have a job here at the Inter-Collegiate Athletes office as a student technician at the I.T. Department which has been a great experience thus far! I also am a part of the business fraternity, Phi Chi Theta and a Smith Start Peer mentor for first-year business students.
