The stuctural team is actually composed of the Aerodynamics and Composites team.
In order for the Pride of Maryland II.I to be competitive in Sunrayce '95, the design will need to be optimized for the lowest aerodynamic drag and maintain a driver compartment which complies with race regulations. A core of 3 to 5 students are involved. Continued research will be performed with the help of the Aerospace Engineering facilities at the University of Maryland, including the wind tunnel.
