Elizabeth Hair was also known as "Elizabeth Hare." She was born about 1826 in Wigtownshire, Scotland.1 She was the daughter of William Hair and Helen Dodds.

Elizabeth Hair appeared on the census of 6 June 1841 at Millisle Cottage House, the parish of Sorbie, Wigtownshire, Scotland, in the household of her father.1

Elizabeth Hair married Joseph F. Pryer at Newburgh, Orange County, New York.2,3

Elizabeth Hair died on 14 May 1905 in Cornwall, Orange County, New York, at the home of her daughter.2
