Frederick Drown Bliss was born on 9 December 1843.2 He was the son of George Bliss and Jerusha Martin.1 The family bible shows his date of birth as 9 December 1835; however, the bible gives his death as 23 December 1873 at age 30 years 14 days, which would agree with 1843 as his year of birth.1

Frederick Drown Bliss married Hannah B. Crosby on 3 July 1867.1,2
