John Morse was born in 1607/8 in England. He was the son of Samuel Morse and Elizabeth Jasper.1 John Morse was baptized on 28 February 1607/8 at Redgrave, Suffolk, England.1
John Morse married Annas Chickering about 1636.1
From the 1929 article by G. Andrews Moriarty, Jr.: Whether he came to New England before or after his father is uncertain; but he was admitted freeman 13 May 1640. He moved from Dedham to Boston in 1654, and on 18 Dec. 1655, "now undertakeing a voyage for England," made his will, in which he named his wife and her brother, Francis Chickering, executors. Francis Chickering, however, renounced the executorship 18 June 1657. The inventory of the estate of John Morse, tailor, of Boston, deceased, dated 9 June 1657, amounted to £385. 9s. 5d.1
John Morse died on 26 May 1657, probably in Boston, Massachusetts.
