John Cromwell married Elizabeth ____ about 1643.1

Jones states that the Cromwell family came from Woodbridge, New Jersey to old Westchester, New York prior to 1677, and later moved to the vicinity of Beckman, Dutchess County, New York.1 On 26 December 1688, John Cromwell and his wife Elizabeth, living in Westchester, gave a deed to son James to "land on the west side of the Bronx river."1 On 4 July 1690 they gave a deed to William Richardson for sixteen acres on Castle Hill Neck, Westchester, for twenty pounds.1

John Cromwell left a will in 1688 that mentioned wife Elizabeth; daughter Elizabeth, wife of Henry Gardner; and left land to son James.1
