John Hoar was born about 1619 in Gloucester, England.1 He was the son of Charles Hoare and Joanna Hinksman.2

John Hoar immigrated about 1642 with his mother.2 He resided in 1643 in Scituate, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.1,3 While in Scituate, he drafted various legal documents and was mentioned occasionally as a lawyer.3

John Hoar married Alice ____ about 1645.4

John Hoar sold his Scituate lands in 1659 and moved to Concord, Massachusetts.1,3

John Hoar died on 2 April 1704 in Concord, Massachusetts.5
