Ellsworth Fowler was born on 19 April 1862.1,2 He was the son of James H. Fowler and Elizabeth R. Burnett.

Ellsworth Fowler appeared on the census of 28 July 1870 at Bedford Township, Westchester County, New York, in the household of his father.3

Ellsworth Fowler married Edith Townsend about 1889.1

He and his wife were guests at the wedding of Harry Zalmon Mayne and Mary Harriette Cargon.4

Ellsworth Fowler appeared on the census of 22 June 1900 at Carmel Township, Putnam County, New York, where his occupation was described as "Contractor & Builder."1

Ellsworth Fowler died on 7 October 1920 at age 58.2 He was buried in Raymond Hill Cemetery, Carmel, Putnam County, New York.2
