Josephine Burnett Mayne.

�����Katonah has lost another of its old residents when Josephine B. Mayne died early Friday morning, Nov. 20th. She was a daughter of the late Durant and Charlotte Burnett and was born in New York city in the early 50's. When a small girl her father purchased a farm consisting of what is now the Todd farm on Cherry street, the property of the Katonah Development Co. and the fields now covered by the Katonah Lake.

�����Since that time she has lived in the Town of Bedford, except a few years soon after her marriage, which were spent in Connecticut. In 1870 she was married to the late James C. Mayne. She was a faithful and loving wife, devoted mother, a good neighbor and a loyal member of the Methodist Church.

�����The funeral services were held at her late residence in Katonah on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 22d, at 2:30 p. m., her pastor, the Rev. R. L. Ross, in charge. A large number of friends and neighbors attended.

�����She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Amelia Cox, of Mt. Kisco; one brother, Arthur W. Burnett, of Winsted, Conn., and one son, Harry Z. Mayne, of Katonah.
