Leslie DeVoe

Leslie I. DeVoe, of 25 Lawton Ave., Hartsdale, died Monday at White Plains Hospital. He was 79.

Born in White Plains on January 24, 1898, Mr. DeVoe had been employed as an electrician with Whiffen Electric of White Plains for more than 50 years until his retirement 14 years ago. He was a resident of Hartsdale for 58 yeras. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Hartsdale and of Local 501 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

Surviving are his wife, the former Mildred Townsend; one daughter, Mrs. John C. Ptacek, Jr. of Armonk; two brothers, Albert H. DeVoe of Armonk and Everett L. DeVoe of Leconto, Fla., and two grandchildren, Mrs. Robert J. Thornton, III of White Plains and John Charles Ptacek, III of Armonk.
