From the DeVoe genealogy by Thomas De Voe, p 51-52: By this marriage he came into possession of a tract of land, known afterwards as the "Cromwell Farm," located on the eastern shore of the cove into which "Cromwell Creek" connects with the Harlem River, near the "Central Bridge." From p 60: . . . the "Cromwell Farm," now located east of the Central Bridge, across the inlet which is now crossed by the Hudson River Railroad. Central Bridge is now Macombs Dam Bridge, crossing the Harlem River at 155th Street (web site mlloyd.org/gen/macomb/text/amsr/macombs.html, viewed 12 April 2004).
