This notebook was compiled by Daniel Van Tassell prior to the publication of any records concerning "Old Dutch Church of Sleepy Hollow." These records are extremely valuable to any genealogist working in the area as many of the stones have lomg since disappeared. These stones were read when the inscriptions were more legible and are, in many instances, more correct than those in the published books.

This copy is presented to the Society by Mrs. Lyman P. Hill (Glenna See).
