James T. Maguire, 70 Retired engineer, Revere resident

A funeral Mass will be said Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church in Revere for James T. Maguire, a retired engineer. Mr. Maguire died of a heart attack Thursday in Beth Israel Hospital. He was 70 and a resident of Revere.

Born in Somerville, Mr. Maguire was educated in the Revere public school system and attended Wentworth Institute of Technology.

During World War II, he worked as an engineer in the Merchant Marines. After the war, Mr. Maguire was employed by New England Power Co., where he remained until his retirement a decade ago.

Mr. Maguire leaves his wife, Mary R. (Raneri); two daughters, Doreen O'Donnell of Revere and Sharon Wentworth of Malden; and a brother, Edward J. of California.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
