My peer mentor group and I on Scholars Community Service Day.
On Scholars Service Day at the start of the semester, my peer mentor group and I raked the aquatic gardens. We cleaned them of an invasive species. I am in the middle wearing waders and holding a rake that I used to remove the plants from the surface of the water. It was an awesome experience to be able to help a local ecosystem!
This is me and my friend Vanshika Shah at our excursion to the Futures Museum!
We visited the Futures Museum in Washington D.C. on March 12, 2022. I though this museum was very cool and was successful in instilling a sense of hope for the future. We saw lots of cool exhibits like a talking robot roommate and the different kinds of futuristic transportation.
Me holding a bucket of "swimmers".
For the Fall 2022 semester excursion, I went to the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center in Edgewater, Maryland on September 17th. We were able to participate in two of the current experiments being done at SERC, one of them including taking samples of water and recording the number of species found in each.
