Hello! My name is Erfan Jabari. I was born in Iran, but my family moved to Texas when I was one. We later moved to Minnesota, then South Carolina, then finally Maryland. I am a Bioengineering major on Pre-medicine track. My hobbies include soccer, running, and listening to music. I also love outdoor activities such as fishing and hiking. I chose to participate in Science and Global Change to further understand the applications of science in the real world. The impact of human activity on the planet has always been of interest to me, so I felt that this program was a great fit for me. Also, I love a good adventure, so Science and Global Change is a great outlet for me to release some adventurous energy. In regards to my studies, I hope to become a surgical dermatologist in the future. I am also, however, very interested in research and would also like to earn a PHD to be able to operate a laboratory and investigate biomedical solutions that can aid patients. I have enjoyed my time at University of Maryland thus far, especially by getting to know new people and take interesting classes!
