Excursion to NYC
On Dec. 3, we took a trip to New York City. After getting up at 5AM, and a four hour bus ride, we arrived to the American Museum of Natural History. There, I went through three separate tours. One in which we learned about the different subgroups of dinosaurs and how their characteristics affected them when they were in the environment. The second tour was about cosmology, and an analysis of the relative size of different objects in space by comparing them to the giant Hayden Sphere that was in front of us. We then went on a self-guided tour about sharks, their evolution, and other semi-aquatic animals such as frogs and turtles. My favorite part of the museum was the space show, where Lupita Nyong'o narrated an exploration of space. Around 3:30PM, we split up and travelled through Times Square. I ate at an Uzbek restuarant! Overall, it was a very long and tiring trip, but one that I thoroughly enjoyed!
