​Temporal lenses can magnify signals that spatial lenses cannot. This means that images can be magnified more than they could be by a normal spatial microscope.

​Spectroscopy separates light into its different components, and is used in MRI machines and astronomy. Time lensing can magnify input singals to make it easier to determine what these components are.
