Hello, my name is Dustin and I'm a bioengineering undergraduate student at the University of Maryland. I'm from Laurel, Maryland and I graduated from Atholton High School. I am a part of the QUEST Honors program where I work in interdisciplinary teams to develop projects that find the intersect between business, science, and engineering. I am also in the Science and Global Change College Park Scholars program where I've deepened my love and understanding of science and sustainability.

On campus I work for TerrapinWorks as a woodshop technician. Here I get to teach people how to use shop equipment, as well as practice my own design and woodworking skills. I am currently the secretary of Engineers Without Borders here at UMD.This organization allows us students to use our engineering skills to implement solutions to problems faced by communities around the world. I'm also a musician at heart and I'm in the university band here at UMD as well as a punk rock band. I mainly play percussion, but I always love trying to pick up new instruments. I also really love movies, both watching and making them!

Throughout the rest of my undergraduate life, I want to continue to grow into my involvement at UMD. I hope to keep working at the woodshop, continuing to refine my woodworking skills. I also hope to travel with Engineers Without Borders to a different country like Rwanda or Ecuador. I am excited to be finishing my time in Science and Global Change and look forward to continuing my involvement in QUEST and all of the other organizations.
