was 4th-order FCT with PARAMESH AMR library.
Interaction of a M=2 shock with a material interface. The shock is moving to the right while the density interface is at a 45 deg. The figure is shownjust before impact. The code is the AMR-FCT code GRIDFLOW. Grid refinement is via PARAMESH. Shown on the left is the density while on the right is the density with the block boundaries superposed. Each block has 4x4 cells.
