My children are a very important part of my life. Maira (Hebrew, illuminating) was born in Idaho Falls, ID on March 18, 1995 when I was a post-doc at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory. Shailee (Hebrew, my gift) was born in Columbia, SC on May 5, 1998 when I was a research assistant professor at the University of South Carolina. The latest edition is Namir (Hebrew, tiger) who I had the pleasure of delivering at our house in Wheaton, MD on November 13, 1999 with the help of a midwife.
